Mandy & Angela

Mandy & Angela are both avid crafters living in the Kansas City area.  They became friends through their shared love of blogging and creating.  The Craft Escape was an idea that started through conversations of how to share their love of making and creating with others.

Mandy has been sharing her love of crafting through her blog Sugar Bee Crafts for the last 7 years. She's been crafting for as long as she can remember,  before she even knew crafting was a thing - She has always just loved to create and make. She and her husband recently took a leap of faith,  sold their home in the suburbs,  and moved to the country where they are building their own home- the ultimate DIY! You can read more about her HERE.

Angela loves to make things from scratch and inspire others to do the same through her blog Handmade in the Heartland.  Although she graduated with a degree in fashion design from RISD and loves to sew, her blog is more recipes than patterns and she will be cooking up all the delicious food during The Craft Escape weekend. You can read more about her HERE.

About The Craft Escape

The Craft Escape brings you events where you can escape your daily routine and craft! Some events are full weekend retreats while other events are 1 day craft workshops. Check back frequently or follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to keep up to date on all the coming events!
Our Saturday workshops feature multiple projects usually based on a theme.  They are a great way to make several projects in one day and have fun with friends.

Our weekend retreats are all-inclusive crafters weekend getaways. The Craft Escape registration includes 8 meals from dinner on Thursday to breakfast on Sunday, all supplies for 8 instructor led craft projects, lodging for 3 nights on a twin bed in a shared bedroom (ladies only) and transportation from Kansas City International Airport if needed.

The Craft Escape is a laid back relaxing weekend where you can come with friends or make new ones. You will be able to participate in all 8 crafts during the workshop times as well as plenty of non-scheduled time to relax or keep working on crafts.
